I’m sorry it’s been a bit of a short notice. We’ve been having a few incidents of IV jelco infections. I know it’s been a busy week and we’ll be in trouble with a lot of things; transition through to (the) electronic records from paper. But we need to know that documentation is our responsibility. We need to make sure that jelco is…, you know, once you insert them you need to document it. We need to check on the patient. We need to work as a team. The handover should be precise and we need to check all these factors. We need to bring down these incidents. We can’t allow this to happen. Last year, we had a patient died of an infection so we need to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. So that’s why I called you guys up, let’s start our day by not killing a patient. How about that? |
