リスニングの問題形式

解釈の仕方にもよりますが、TOEFLのリスニングで7パターンの問題出題されます。

いずれの問題形式もディクテーションなどはなく、複数の選択肢から適切な回答をクリック（もしくはドラッグ＆ドロップ）する形式です。

1. Detail Question	詳細問題・音声で述べられた詳細な情報について尋ねる問題・設問に “According to ~”　や “What” が含まれることが多い ex. What does the professor point out about Frantzen’s farm scene painting?
2. Inference Question	推論問題・音声で直接的に述べられていないが意図している情報について尋ねる問題・設問に “What does the professor imply ~”　や “What can be inferred ~” が含まれる ex. What is it that the professor is implying about the tools that the inhabitants of Catalhoyuk utilized?
3. Attitude Question	態度問題・話し手の感情や態度について尋ねる問題・設問に “What is the professor’s attitude ~”　や “What doe the student think of ~” が含まれる ex. The professor briefly discusses experiments about the wind speed required to move rocks in the desert. What is the professor’s attitude regarding these experiments?
4. Function Question	機能問題・指示されたセンテンスで意図している内容を尋ねる問題・設問に “What does the professor mean when he says ~”　や “Why does the student say ~” が含まれる ex. Why does the professor say this?
5. Gist-content/purpose Question	要点理解問題・音声のメイントピックや目的を尋ねる問題・設問に “mainly about ~”　や “mainly discussing ~”, “What is the main purpose ~” が含まれる ex. What are the main things about the Nightcap Oak that the professor discusses?
6. Connecting-content Question	内容関連付け問題・主張やトピック同士の関連性を尋ねる問題・設問に “fill in the blank ~”　や “What is the likely outcome ~” が含まれることが多い ex. Indicate whether each of the following activities describes a displacement activity by checking ‘yes’ or ‘no’.?
7. Organization Question	構成問題・主張やトピックがどのように構成されているかを尋ねる問題・設問に “Why does the professor mention ~”　や “Why does the professor discuss ~” が含まれることが多い ex. How does the professor organize his lecture on blue jeans?

音声で述べられている直接的な情報だけでなく、声のトーンや言い回しから話し手の意図を読み解く必要があるのでコンテンツ以外にも意識を向けることが大切になります。

模試を復習する時に「自分はどの問題を間違える傾向があるか」を分析して、弱点に応じた学習方法を適応させるとスコアアップに効果的です。
