Integrated Writing – 賛成型のテンプレート

Integrated Writingのリスニングは、リーディング文章に対して「賛成を示すパターン」と「反対を示すパターン」の2パターンあります。

出題頻度は「反対を示すパターン」が多く、およそ8割程度の確率で出題されます。

今回は「賛成を示すパターン」のテンプレート表現をみていきます。

テンプレート表現

特にスコアが低い段階では、ライティングはテンプレートを用いて書き出しましょう。

テンプレート表現を合わせると合計で100字近くになるので、文字数制限の負担を大きく軽減することが可能です。

しかし、テンプレートはあくまでいくつもある回答方法の一つにしかすぎないので、慣れてきたら色々な表現に置き換えていきましょう。

The reading and the lecture are both about …………………… The reading states that …………………… the lecture builds upon those same ideas to give a more comprehensive picture with (three) examples.
First of all, according to the reading, …………………… Supporting this idea, the lecturer explains that ……………………. Furthermore, (he) mentions that …………………….

テンプレートは減点対象にはあたりませんが、どんなトピックが来ても柔軟に対応できるようにするために極力テンプレートに頼りすぎるのは避ける方がリスクヘッジになります。

あくまで、解答に慣れるための手段として認識しておいてださい。

Through the reading and the lecture, there are many negative consequences of social media presented. Both give many examples to help support the same idea.
First, they mention that social media destroys relationships. In both the reading and the lecture they show that people have begun to put more value on computer-based relationships rather than real-life ones. They frame this idea as people losing touch with the real world and losing genuine relationships.
Next, they both propose that another negative consequence of social media is cyber-bullying. This is when someone uses the internet to tease or harass someone, oftentimes anonymously. The lecture talks about how this is dangerous because people are willing to say things they wouldn’t say in public and they think that there are no consequences of doing so.
Finally, the reading and lecture take a look at productivity. They both use examples to show how social media is a huge distraction for people. Instead of doing work or homework, people use social media to distract themselves from their obligations. The lecture suggests that this has cost some businesses billions of dollars in lost revenue.
In conclusion, the reading and lecture use a wide variety of examples to support their thoughts that social media is a bad thing. The many negatives of social media are almost overwhelming.

The reading states that three negative impacts of social media on the society of false sense of connectedness, cyber-bullying, and decreased productivity. The lecture to build upon those same ideas to give more comprehensive pictures with three examples.
First of all, according to the reading, one negative consequence of social media is that it destroys relationships. Supporting this idea, the lecturer explains that people have begun to put more value on computer-based relationships rather than real-life ones. He frames base ideas as people losing touch with the real world, losing genuine relationships and social skills.
Secondly, the reading states that another negative consequence of social media is cyber-bullying. this is when someone uses the internet to tease harass someone, oftentimes anonymously. The lecturer goes on to explain that according to a CBS report, 42% of young people have experienced cyber-bullying. This high percentage indicates that social media has become a medium for cyber-bullying.
Finally, the reading claims that social media is a huge distraction for people. Instead of doing work or homework, people use social media to distract themselves from their obligations. In support of this idea, the lecturer brings up the point that the decrease in work productivity due to the overuse of social media has cost some businesses billions of dollars in lost revenue. For instance, one study done by Morse showed that British Industries lost 2.2 billion dollars a year.
In conclusion, the reading and lecture both discuss the adverse impacts of the prevalence of social media on society. The three main points made in the reading not effectively supported by the lecture.
