解答例
- The man in the conversation agrees with the announcement which is about the school set up a mandatory seminar for all first-year students. There are two reasons why the man/girl supports the announcement.
- The first reason is that he thinks the seminar will help all first-year students improve their study habits right at the beginning of their education. During his first year, he slept late and procrastinated until close to the final exam to finish all of his homework. Unfortunately, his grade reflected these poor study habits. However, if there had been a mandatory seminar during his first year, then maybe it would’ve helped him avoid these mistakes. He could have been prepared for how to succeed right away.
- The second reason is he thinks this would be a great place for students to socialize. While attending the mandatory seminar, he met someone who shares his same passions.
- Therefore, these reasons are why the boy in the conversation likes the idea of having a mandatory seminar for all first-year students.
