【タスク1】② 概要の書き方
概要パラグラフは、視覚資料から読み取れる情報のまとめを書き出していきます。基本的に「最初と最後の数値の推移」または「数値の最高値と最低値」のいずれかを文字で説明します。
ポイント1 概要パラグラフの表現
視覚資料の全体像を説明するのに役立つ定型表現です：

ダイアグラム形式が出題された場合、突出する数値やデータの推移がありません。そのため、「どのようにプロセスが始まり終わるのか」「プロセスの数」を概要として書き出す必要があります。
練習問題
以下の視覚資料をみて、概要パラグラフを書き出してみましょう：
- While the figures for imprisonment fluctuated over the period shown, it is clear that the United States had the highest number of prisoners overall. Great Britain, on the other hand, had the lowest number of prisoners for the majority of the period.
- We can see that the most striking point is that with the exception of a slight fall in 2010, all owners use their mobile phone to telephone people. The second most common use is for text messaging, which steadily increased from just under three-quarters of all users in2006 to nearly four-fifths of users in 2010
- Overall, the process consists of seven stages, beginning with digging clays and ending up with the product’s delivery.
